Drawings for steel structures should be in line with the publication of the SAISC entitled Structural Steel Detailing (the 'Yellow Book').
Since the design engineer remains responsible for all aspects of a design of a structure, even when a detailer has specified connection details, it is of great importance for the engineer to check the design and detail drawings with great care.
