As part of recognising and celebrating the industry’s “unsung heroes”, the Southern African Institute of Steel Construction will be hosting its second “Women in Steel” event on 8 August 2019 at the Woodmead Country Club.
Calling all recent graduate or final year student Engineers, Architects, and other young (literally or at heart) people with a passion for the Built Environment. Despite its many challenges, South Africa is a land of opportunity. We believe that in order to take the country forward, young professionals in the Built Environment need to connect and start having conversations about blazing a trail and shaping the future of the South Africa.
The clean lines and impressive aesthetic elements make steel structures highly “Instagramable”. Join us as we celebrate the #BeautyOfSteel by taking guided tours at “golden hour” around some impressive steel structures and locations normally inaccessible to the public. We know that walks can be thirsty work – so the SAISC will be sponsoring some refreshments. Let us know if you’ll be joining us for catering purposes.
