Advancing industry knowledge, trade readiness and collaboration across Africa

The South African Institute of Steel Construction (SAISC), in partnership with the Steel Exporters Association of South Africa (STEASA), presents a Pan-African webinar series aimed at strengthening professional engagement and knowledge exchange across the African steel value chain.

This initiative has been developed to support industry growth through informed dialogue, technical understanding and practical exposure to the mechanisms that enable regional trade and market participation. By bringing together industry associations and sector specialists, the series seeks to provide SAISC members with relevant perspectives that contribute to sustainable industry development and improved cross-border collaboration.

SESSION 1: ECIC EXPORT CREDIT SOLUTIONS

Guest Speaker: Katlego Kgapane, Deal Originator – Anglophone West Africa, Export Credit Insurance Corporation of South Africa (ECIC).

This inaugural session will provide an overview of export credit solutions relevant to companies operating within the steel industry and related sectors. The discussion will focus on the role of trade finance in supporting responsible expansion into African markets and managing the financial risks associated with cross-border projects.
