Industrial Painting Services was founded in 1980 by Theo Bemelman who spent the early portion of his career as a corrosion specialist working on refineries, power stations and petrochemical plants.

Now under the leadership of Managing Director Sean Bemelman, IPS continues to grow its capabilities and reach while staying true to its founding principles of reliability, quality, and safety.

Supported by a team of seasoned professionals across operations, project management, and HSE, the company executes projects with precision. With a passionate management, operations and projects team and a highly skilled workforce, we continue to add additional technical services which compliment our existing offering and to meet our customers needs.

IPS combines technical excellence with a personal, hands-on approach. This leadership style has shaped our culture and sustained our reputation for trusted, performance-driven service across industries.

INDUSTRIAL PAINTING & CORROSION PROTECTION

We specialise in high-performance protective coating systems that extend the life of steel structures and equipment in harsh industrial environments. MOBILE SANDBLASTING SERVICES

Our Mobile Sandblasting Services bring state-of-the-art surface preparation directly to your project site. Using a wide range of media, from sand and glass beads to steel shot and slag, we create the ideal surface profile for coating adhesion, even in remote or logistically complex environments. IPS operates with full compliance to safety and environmental regulations, utilising dust control measures and experienced blasting crews. By eliminating the need for off-site preparation, we reduce project turnaround times while ensuring coating systems perform exactly as intended.

FIRE STOPPING & PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION

We provide advanced passive fire protection solutions designed to safeguard lives, assets, and infrastructure in the event of a fire. We apply certified intumescent coatings and fire-retardant systems that delay heat transfer and help maintain structural integrity, buying valuable time during emergencies. Our team also installs critical fire stopping systems, including service penetration seals, vermiculite coatings, and Cable Fire Protection, all compliant with industrial and commercial building codes. Backed by technical expertise, IPS fire protection services deliver peace of mind when it matters most.

Our projects are guided by internationally certified Protective Coating and Internal Lining Inspectors (NACE, AMPP, SAIW), using industry-leading tools such as Positector and Elcometer to verify every layer with precision.
