This 1-day Basics of Steel course aims to show newcomers to the industry, or non-technical support staff the features, correct uses, as well as how to avoid making potentially dangerous mistakes when ordering or recommending structural steel products.
This new “Hands On” basic connections course will include all the general information from the previous courses but will concentrate on the candidate undertaking numerous calculations of typical and practical connection problems.
Part of our mandate as an institute is to promote the use of steel in construction. We believe that empowering our members to understand and utilise social media effectively is a step toward achieving that mandate.
The course is presented by Spencer Erling and consists of 15 x 2.5 Hour Contact Sessions – held over a 12 week period.
