Over the last couple of years, POLASA and the SAISC have coordinated an annual visit taking key government stakeholders to Kusile Power Station. The objective of this “pilgrimage” has been creating a greater awareness of the scale, scope, and impact infrastructure projects have on our local steel industry, and the economy.
The key group of DTI, DMR, ITAC and other visitors were suitably impressed with the sheer size, the complexity, the breadth of activities, quality and workmanship as well as the safety records achieved on Kusile! The number of people employed, the skills applied and the involvement with the locals is commendable. Thank you to all involved in arranging the trip logistics!
