Sponsorship Terms & Conditions

By sponsoring the Steel Awards, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Sponsorship eligibility

Sponsorship opportunities for the SAISC Steel Awards 2026 are open to both SAISC members and non-members.
However, as the Steel Awards form part of the Institute’s programme to support and promote the steel construction industry, preference will be given to organisations that are members of the Southern African Institute of Steel Construction (SAISC).
Non-member organisations are welcome to participate and partner with the event, subject to the sponsorship allocation process outlined below.

Sponsorship allocation process

The Southern African Institute of Steel Construction (SAISC) will host a Steel Awards Sponsorship Cocktail Evening in April 2026, where organisations will have the opportunity to review the available sponsorship opportunities and indicate their interest in participating in the 2026 Steel Awards.

During this event, interested sponsors may express their preferred sponsorship opportunity.

In the event that two or more organisations express interest in the same sponsorship package, a silent bidding process will apply.

Through this process, interested sponsors will be invited to submit a confidential bid for the sponsorship opportunity. The highest bid received for the relevant sponsorship package will be considered for allocation.

Sponsors may also elect to secure an alternative sponsorship opportunity, should their preferred option receive multiple bids.

The SAISC reserves the right to allocate sponsorship opportunities in the best interest of the Institute and the Steel Awards event.

Successful sponsors will be confirmed and announced in May 2026 following the conclusion of the allocation process.

Sponsor preview and preference

Organisations that supported the Steel Awards as sponsors in 2025 will be offered an early opportunity to indicate their interest in participating in the 2026 Steel Awards sponsorship programme.

These organisations will be invited to attend the Sponsorship Cocktail Evening and participate in the sponsorship allocation process.

All sponsorship opportunities remain subject to availability and the allocation process outlined above.

Sponsorship confirmation

Once sponsorship allocations have been confirmed, SAISC will issue a formal sponsorship confirmation and invoice to the relevant organisation.

Sponsorship will only be considered confirmed once the required deposit payment has been received.

SAISC reserves the right to release any sponsorship opportunity should payment deadlines not be met.

Terms of payment

To confirm a sponsorship opportunity, the following payment terms will apply:

    • 50% of the sponsorship amount is payable within 30 days of invoice, and no later than 60 days of invoicing.
    • The remaining 50% balance is payable by 30 August 2026.

Failure to meet these payment deadlines may result in the sponsorship opportunity being released and made available to other interested organisations.

Sponsor responsibilities

Sponsors are responsible for providing all required branding materials, logos, advertisements and promotional content within the deadlines communicated by SAISC.

Late submissions may affect the ability of SAISC to include sponsor branding across all planned event and communications platforms.

SAISC rights and event management

The SAISC reserves the right to:

    • Allocate sponsorship opportunities in the best interest of the Steel Awards and the Institute.
    • Adjust event logistics or sponsorship deliverables where required due to operational considerations.
    • Manage the event programme and communications schedule in alignment with the objectives of the Steel Awards.
