SLT Architects is a reputable, forward-thinking and award-winning architectural firm based on the southern tip of Africa in Century City, Cape Town. The company, previously Steyn le Roux Truter Architects, recently rebranded as SLTA under the directorship of Niel Marx, Bertus Bouwer and Louis Steyn.
The company has evolved over many decades to its current form. Abrie Jordaan Architects started in 1973 and then evolved in 1980 as Jordaan Hartwig in the partnerhip of Abrie Jordaan and Ernst Hartwig. Jordaan Hartwig & Partners followed in 1982 with Louis Steyn as one of a triumvirate. Rigardt le Roux joined the firm soon afterwards and in 1990 the company was renamed to Jordaan Hartwig Steyn le Roux.
In 2011 we became Steyn le Roux Truter Architects, the first partners having left, retiring or moving in different directions. Shanne Truter joined for an extended period.
2020 saw the evolution and emergence of the next chapter of this progressive practice and along with it a new vision and mantra for SLT Architects.
