Project Details
Trusses span 45.5m and the length had to be divided into 4 Assemblies. Building these assemblies individually would bring risk due to the pre-camber and bolted lacings at the splice locations. We thus had to detail and build Jigs to support the full length truss of 45.5m in our workshop. This ensured the camber is consistent and all piece small items fitted on site. These trusses had to be installed over the pool in its full length by a 220t heavy lift crane from the cricket pitch. Mistakes or miss alignment would be very expensive should this crane have to stand and wait.
