The Southern African Institute of Steel Construction (SAISC) is proud to announce the return of its much-loved Women in Steel event for 2026.
Created to celebrate, connect and inspire women across the steel and built environment sectors, Women in Steel has become a meaningful platform for authentic conversations, shared experiences and industry connection in a space traditionally shaped by resilience, innovation and leadership.
More than a networking event, Women in Steel is an opportunity to step away from the pressures of day-to-day industry demands and come together as a community to reflect, engage and grow alongside fellow professionals from across the steel value chain.
The event welcomes women from across the steel and built environment sectors and from every level within the industry, recognising that the strength of the sector is shaped not only by engineers, fabricators and industry leaders, but also by the many women working in administration, coordination, finance, support and operational roles that help keep projects, businesses and the industry moving forward every day.
Following the success of previous Women in Steel gatherings, the 2026 edition will once again offer an uplifting and memorable experience centred around connection, inspiration and celebration, with a refreshed programme and interactive elements designed to encourage conversation, collaboration and meaningful engagement.
As SAISC celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2026, this year’s Women in Steel event carries even greater significance as we honour not only the legacy of the industry, but also the growing impact, leadership and contribution of women helping shape its future.
Further details including the official theme, programme, venue and registration information will be announced soon.
For now, we encourage industry professionals and companies to save the date and be part of this special occasion.
